6/24/2023 - Scappoose Bay/Multnomah Channel, Scappoose Bay Marina, Scappose, OR

Time: 3.32 hours Distance: 9.91 miles We put into Scappoose Bay from the Scappoose Bay Marina on a beautiful sunny day. We paddled West to the end of the Bay then up-river on Multnomah Channel for several miles before turning back. Winds got somewhat heavy in places especially in the Channel on the way back and there was a fair amount of traffic but the paddle was enjoyable. 6/17/2023 - Willamette River, Stevens Point, Portland, OR

Time: 3 hours Distance: 10.12 miles We put into the Willamette River at Stevens Point once again but this time paddled down-river to just past the I405 Bridge before turning back. The day was partially cloudy with temperatures in the high 60s and mostly light winds. There was a bit of river traffic but still relatively light for the time of year. Lynda preparing to put in. 6/10/2023 - Lake Merwin, Speelyai Park, WA

Time: 3.6 hours Distance: 11.19 miles We put into Lake Merwin at Speelyai Park on a beautiful day. Initially it was sunny with light wind and little traffic. We paddled along the shore west until we reached Jim Creek then went up the creek as far as we could before turning back. When we got back to the lake we found that the wind had picked up and we had to fight rough waters all the way back with swells sometimes as high as 2'. A rough trip back made for two tired paddlers. 6/3/2023 - Willamette River, Rogers Landing Park, Newberg, OR

Time: 3.18 hours Distance: 9.81 miles   We put into the Willamette River from Rogers Landing Park in Newberg, OR on a beautiful sunny day. There was a light breeze most of the day and some river traffic though much lighter than we'd expected for such a nice day. We paddled up-river to just past where the Yamhill River enters the Willamette before taking a short break then paddling back. Another great trip.    Lynda preparing to put in. 5/28/2023 - Willamette River, Willamette Park, West Linn, OR

Time: 3.4 hours Distance: 9.52 miles We put into the Willamette River from Willamette Park in West Linn, OR on a beautiful sunny day. We made our way up-river for about two hours exploring along the way before turning back. The temperatures were right around 70, the winds were light and there was almost no river traffic. 5/20/2023 - Lake River/Bachelor Island Slough/Columbia River, Ridgefield Boat Ramp, Ridgefield, WA

Time: 2.93 hours Distance: 9.26 miles We put into Lake River from the Ridgefiled Boat Ramp, paddled down river the short distance to the Bachelor Island Slout, up-river on the Slough to the Columbia River, down-river on the Columbia back to Lake River then back to the launch. The first truly nice day we've had this season. Winds and river traffic were both fairly light. A very nice paddle. Lynda preparing to put in. 5/6/2023 - Willamette River, Stevens Point, Portland, OR

Time: 2.87 hours Distance: 9.2 miles We put into the Willamette River once again from Stevens Point in Portland. We paddled down river then around Ross Island taking a detour into the lagoon at the center of the Island then up-river to about the middle of the Waverly Country Club before turning back. The day was pleasant if cloudy though we did hit just a small amount of rain in the last half-hour. There were quite a number of boats out but they were mostly just sitting still and fishing so no real concern. Lynda preparing to put in. One of Lynda's buoy series. 4/30/2023 - Scappoose Bay, Scappoose Bay Marina, Scappose, OR

Time: 3.07 hours Distance: 8.41 miles We put into Scappoose Bay at the Scappoose Bay Marina and spend the day paddling around the marshy areas exploring different inlets and lakes. The river was up higher than normal so we were able to access several places not normally below water. The rain held off the entire trip so we had a pleasant paddle. Lynda preparing to put in.
