7/8/2025 - Deschutes River, La Pine State Park, La Pine, OR

Distance: 8.5 miles

 

We put into the Deschutes River for the second time in as many days. This time we put in at La Pine State Park just a few miles up-river of where we'd turned back the day before. We paddled up-river until we hit rapids then back. Another warm day with only a few floaters for river traffic. The current up was fairly strong slowing us down quite a lot but the trip back wasn't much more than a lazy float. Another fantastic day of paddling.
