11/23/2024 - Multnomah Channel/Willamette River, Sauvie Island Boat Ramp, Sauvie Island, OR

Distance: 9.16 miles

We put into Multnomah Channel aft Sauvie Island Boat Ramp, paddled up river connecting with the Willamette River and then up-river again about half-way to the St. John's Bridge before turning back. Though there had been rain all week including the morning before we left (and later in the day) we had a completely dry paddle with little wind and actually a fair amount of blue sky and sunshine. A totally unexpected beautiful day for paddling.
