8/3/2024 - Lewis River, Forks Boat Launch, Woodland, WA

We put into the Lewis River at Forks Boat Launch outside of Woodland, WA and paddled up-river to Woodland before turning back. We'd planned to put in at Paradise Point Park but it was closed for bridge work so we made last minute changes to our plan and move to Forks Boat Launch. A perfect day for kayaking with temperatures in the 70's and only the gentlest of breezes. A really pleasant paddle with few boaters, several Bald Eagles and, for the first time, a small fox.
