3/16/2024 - Lake River/Columbia River, Ridgefield Kayak Launch, Ridgefield, WA

Distance: 9.23 miles

We put into Lake River at the Ridgefield Kayak Launch, paddled down-river to Bachelor Island Slough, up-river on the Slough to the Columbia River, down-river on the Columbia back to Lake River then back up-river to the original put-in. The day was clear, sunny and warm with very light winds and little traffic on the water. We saw well in excess of a dozen Sea Lions on the Columbia and a number of Bald Eagles as well. Our first trip this year without the suits. A really nice paddle.
