We put into the Willamette River at Stevens Point boat launch and paddled down-river through Portland to the I405 Bridge before turning back. The day was forecast to be the highest temperature every recorded in Portland (and it turned out to be, a record that stood until the next day when it hit 118 F) so we put in early and were out by noon. Even so when we got out it was already 100 degrees F. The paddle was pleasant though near the end the river traffic had increased pretty significantly and it was starting to get pretty hot.
