Dane and Lynda Kayak

Time: 2.83 hours Distance: 9.35 We put into the Willamette River at Stevens Point boat launch and paddled down-river through Portland to the I405 Bridge before turning back. The day was forecast to be the highest temperature every recorded in Portland (and it turned out to be, a record that stood until the next day when it hit 118 F) so we put in early and were out by noon. Even so when we got out it was already 100 degrees F. The paddle was pleasant though near the end the river traffic had increased pretty significantly and it was starting to get pretty hot. Time: 2.83 hours Distance: 9.04 miles We put into the Tualatin River at Farmington Paddle Launch and headed down-river. The last time we'd tried this leg of the river a year ago it was blocked by a fallen tree about a half mile into the trip but the blockage had been cleared. We paddled down past Eagle Landing Park before turning back. The day was mostly cloudy and there was occasionally a few rain drops but overall the trip was calm and relaxing.
