5/26/2019 - North Fork Nehalem River, Nehalem, OR

Time: 2.75 hours Distance: 8.3 miles In stark contrast to the previous day the weather was fantastic with clear skies and temperatures in the upper 60's. We put in at Nehalem and explored the North Fork of the Nehalem River for the first time. A thoroughly enjoyable paddle to end a nice weekend with Lynda, Erin and I. We didn't notice the cows on the way up but a few minutes later we saw they were very interested in us as we went back by. They followed along the bank for ~50 yards. Lynda coming into the dock. 5/25/2019 - Tillamook Bay, Garibaldi, OR

Time: 2.25 hours Distance: 6.5 miles We put in at Garibaldi in the rain and it got worse through the day. We didn't come prepared with weather gear and paid for that decision. The water was fairly calm but the rain and wind coupled with our lack of preparedness made for an abbreviated trip. Lynda preparing to put in. Dane preparing to put in. 5/11/2019 - Willamette River, Willamette Park, OR

Time: 2.8 hours Distance: 8 miles A 90 degree day in early May. We put in at Willamette Park and paddled upriver to the Lake Oswego Railroad Bridge. The river was extremely busy and wakes from speeding boats were fairly constant. Lynda heading up river just after put in. Lynda navigating the swells caused by river traffic. 4/20/2019 - Smith Bybee Lakes, Portland, OR

Time: 2.6 hours Distance: 7 miles Back to Smith Bybee on an early sunny day. Unlike our first paddle here, this time we found our way into Bybee lake. We saw a number of Bald Eagles and the Carp were spawning in many of the shallow waters. A really nice first Spring trip. Lynda getting ready to put in. Dane getting ready to put in. 3/23/2019 - Willamette River, Portland, OR

Time: 3.4 hours Distance: 10.4 miles We put in at Cathedral Park under the St. John's Bridge, paddled North to the 405 Bridge and then back. We dressed for weather but had mild temperatures and only the lightest of rain. Getting ready to put in. Dane heading out just past the St. John's Bridge. Passing a US Navy shipyard. 12/29/2018 - Willamette River, Portland, OR

Time: 2.5 hours Distance: 7 miles We geared up for bad weather but were treated to a relatively nice day. We put just North of the Marquam Bridge, paddled to the Sellwood Bridge around the East side of Ross Island then back around the West. Getting ready to put in. Heading south. 11/23/2018 - Willamette River, Sauvie Island, OR

Time: 3.5 hours Distance: 9.5 miles We geared up for a cold and rainy day and nature didn't disappoint. When we put in at Sauvie Island Boat Ramp it was pouring rain. That continued off an on throughout the trip. Just as we were about to get out the sun broke through. A good trip despite the weather. Dane geared up and ready to put in. Heading out in the rain. 11/10/2018 - East Fork of the Lewis River, La Center, WA

Time: 3.25 hours Distance: 9.7 miles Our first try at kayaking with cold weather gear and it wet really well. We paddled up the East Fork of the Lewis River until we hit a point that the current made it impossible to continue. The day was cold but clear with no rain. Another nice paddle. Lynda all geared up for the cold and ready to put in Dane paddling down the East Fork of the Lewis River

10/21/2018 - Tualatin River, Hillsboro, OR

Time: 2.3 hours Distance: 7.3 miles Sunday afternoon kayaking. We were on a limited schedule so we headed back to the Tualatin River, put in at the Farmington bridge and paddled up-river for a while. Beautiful autumn day with the trees changing and leaves floating causally down-river. Getting ready to put in And we're off What a beautiful fall day
