Dane and Lynda Kayak

Time: 2.58 hours Distance: 9 miles   We put into the Willamette River at Cathedral Park and paddled up-river for just over an hour before turning back. The day started sunny and cool but clouds and some wind moved in just about the time we turned back giving us a bit of a bumpy ride on the return trip. The security around the shipyards where three different US Navy vessels were docked hassled us a bit trying to get us to go further into the middle of the river but we passed by quickly and that was the end of it. Time: 2.4 hours Distance: 7.72 miles   We put into the Tualatin River at Brown's Ferry Park and then paddled up-river to the Pacific Highway Bridge before turning back. The day was calm with a fair amount of sun and no river traffic.
