Dane and Lynda Kayak

Time: 3.03 hours Distance: 9.2 miles We put into Yale Lake from Yale Lake Park on the first truly sunny day of the season. We paddle South across the Lake then up Siouxon Creek until we were stopped by whitewater. After a short break we turned back and made the return trip. Lynda preparing to put in. Time: 2.88 hours Distance: 8.99 miles We put into the Columbia River at Willow Bar on Sauvie Island and paddled up-river to within sight of where the Willamette River enters the Columbia before turning back. Time: 2.9 hours Distance: 9.12 miles We put into the Tualatin River at Farmington Paddle Launch on a cool day with rain and moderate winds in the forecast. The river we very high and flowing fairly quickly as we paddled up-river for about two hours before turning back. The rain held off most of the trip and the winds were intermittent so besides the colder temperatures (~40 F) the paddle was fairly pleasant. Lynda preparing to put in. Lynda paddling up-river.
