Dane and Lynda Kayak

Time: 3.07 hours Distance: 9.46 miles We put into the Willamette River from Stevens Point, paddled up-river to the I405 Bridge before turning back. Time: 2.37 hours Distance: 7.73 miles We put into the Columbia River at Broughton Beach Park right by the Portland Airport. We paddled up-river for about an hour and a half before turning back. The day was sunny with temperatures in the mid-eighties and the river had quite a lot of motorboat traffic. Lynda preparing to put in. Time: 3.57 hours Distance: 11.43 miles   We put into the Nehalem River in Nehalem on our daughter's 19th birthday. We paddled up-river past the point we'd stopped the first time we paddled this trip before turning back. The tide was coming in the entire trip but winds were light until the very end and the temperatures we pleasant in the mid 60's.    Lynda on the dock preparing to put in. Lynda paddling the river.
