10/17/2021 - Willamette River, Wallace Marine Park, Salem, OR

We put into the Willamette River at Wallace Marine Park in Salem, OR on an overcast morning and paddled up-river for about 3 miles before we hit a section where the current was too heavy to push through. We then turned back and enjoyed a leisurely float back down-river. The forecast for the day had shown rain all week so we were pleasantly surprised that we didn't get any. The river traffic was non-existent and the paddle was plesant.
