6/7/2020 - Columbia River, St. Helens, OR

Time: 3 hours
Distance: 9 miles

We put in at the marina at St. Helens again and this time paddled up the Columbia River along the East side of Sauvie Island. The current was not as strong as it had been a couple weeks previous but was still fairly swift. The weather was widely varied with sun at points and very heavy rain at others. We wore our suits so the rain was of no real consequence but it got quite warm when the sun was out. We passed a large number of Osprey nests and almost all of them had mated pairs with chicks.
